Photo Shortlisted - 22nd April '09

Its always a pleasure to receive emails that require your response rather than throwing them in the trash can.

This morning I checked my emails to discover that one of my photos had been shortlisted to feature in Schmap.

Schmap is the publisher of free digital travel guides for destinations throughout Europe and the USA, as well as Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The company’s travel guides are available for download at www.schmap.com, along with a small computer program that interacts with a Web browser to display the guides called the Schmap Player.

This is the email I received:

Your photo(s) shown below have been short-listed for inclusion in the seventh edition of our Schmap Berlin Guide, to be published late May 2009.
While we offer no payment for publication, many photographers are pleased to submit their photos, as Schmap Guides give their work recognition and wide exposure, and are free of charge to readers. Photos are published at a maximum width of 150 pixels, are clearly attributed, and link to high-resolution originals at Flickr.
If you would like your short-listed photo(s) to continue to our Berlin Guide final selection phase, please read our 'Terms of Submission' and press the 'Submit' button, no later than our editorial submission deadline – Wednesday, April 29.

photo in question is this:

The Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church in Berlin.
This building is incredible. It really has stood the test of time.
The building itself bares many wounds from past conflicts and part of it was actually destroyed at one point

I will accept the request as its another place my photo is being used.
