Artist of Interest

On the subject of video exhibitions Mona suggested we look at work by Dara Birnbaum.

To give a brief biography on Birnbaum we looked her up on google. here is a quote from a website
Throughout her career, which began in the late 1970s, Dara Birnbaum has worked with video art in New York. Initially, Birnbaum studied architecture and town planning, but switched to studying painting in the San Francisco Art Institute. On returning to New York, she continued her education in the New School of Social Research, where she concentrated on video art.

so the next port of call is to investigate her work and her approach to exhibitions.

It turns out she actually pioneered the wonder-woman transformation, which we found on youtube.
